1.1 This Privacy Policy explains how Blinkfreight Pte. Ltd. (UEN 201811804G), 3 Raffles Place #06-01, Singapore 048617 ("Blinkfreight", "we", "us"), collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data through www.blinkfreight.com (the "Website") and in the course of providing our freight and logistics services.
1.2 Blinkfreight is the organisation responsible for your personal data under the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA") and, where it applies, is the controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) ("GDPR") and the UK GDPR.
1.3 Our affiliate Blinkfreight (Shanghai) International Forwarding Co., Ltd. performs operational services on our behalf and may also act as a controller of shipment data it processes directly.
2.1 Information you give us. When you submit an enquiry, request a quotation, create an account or communicate with us, we may collect your name, job title, company name, business email address, telephone number, country and the content of your message.
2.2 Shipment information. To arrange shipments we collect the names, addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers of shippers, consignees, notify parties and billing contacts, together with cargo, customs and documentation details. If you provide personal data of other individuals, you confirm that you are entitled to do so and that they have been informed of this Policy.
2.3 Technical and usage data. When you visit the Website we and our service providers automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring page and approximate location. Some of this is collected through cookies; see our Cookie Policy.
2.4 We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Under the PDPA, we collect, use and disclose personal data with your consent (including deemed consent where you voluntarily provide it for a purpose) or as otherwise permitted by law.
We do not sell personal data. We share it only as follows:
(a) Our affiliates, including Blinkfreight (Shanghai) International Forwarding Co., Ltd., to perform our services;
(b) Supply chain partners necessary to move your cargo, including shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies, overseas agents, customs brokers, warehouses and terminal operators;
(c) Government authorities such as customs, port and security authorities, where required for shipments or by law;
(d) Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, including website hosting (Webflow, Inc.), cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services and Alibaba Cloud), email and communication tools, accounting services, and website analytics and visitor-identification providers (Google Analytics and RB2B);
(e) Professional advisers, insurers and auditors;
(f) Legal and safety: where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law or legal process, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, property or safety of Blinkfreight, our customers or others;
(g) Corporate transactions: to a buyer, investor or successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business, subject to confidentiality obligations; and
(h) With your consent in any other case.
5.1 We are based in Singapore and our operations are carried out in Singapore and the People's Republic of China. Our service providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. International shipping by its nature requires personal data to be sent to the origin, transit and destination countries of your cargo.
5.2 Where we transfer personal data out of Singapore, we ensure it receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA, as required by the Transfer Limitation Obligation.
5.3 Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies and personal data is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum where relevant) or, where applicable, on transfers being necessary for the performance of a contract with you or in your interest (Article 49(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards by contacting us.
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to meet legal, accounting, customs and tax record-keeping requirements (up to 10 years after the relevant transaction), and to establish or defend legal claims. Enquiry data that does not lead to a business relationship is deleted or anonymised after 24 months.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, use, disclosure, alteration or loss. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Where required by law, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant authorities of a data breach.
8.1 All users. Subject to applicable law, you may request access to and correction of your personal data, and you may withdraw your consent to our use of your personal data at any time. Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to provide services to you.
8.2 EU and UK users. You also have the right to request erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, to object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing, and not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing that significantly affect you.
8.3 Marketing. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us.
8.4 To exercise any right, contact our Data Protection Officer using the details in section 10. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
8.5 You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Commission (www.pdpc.gov.sg) or, if you are in the EU or UK, with the data protection authority in your country of residence or work. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted on the Website.
